Second graders will construct their annual gingerbread houses on Friday, Dec. 1 at 1:15.
Each second grader is asked to arrange an adult helper. Look for the gingerbread sheet for more information. Please start thinking or making arrangements of who will help your child. If you need us to find an adult to help your child, let us know. There are many community members that enjoy this event. 29

2nd Grade Information
CONFERENCES: Thank you to those who showed up for conferences! It was good to connect with everyone.
GINGERBREAD HOUSES: Gingerbread houses will be Friday, Dec. 1: Please remember to enter the Legacy gym door, take the elevator or stairs to the second floor by the wrestling room. We will be in the hallway. In previous years, some parents have brought in a preform box/house then decorate it. We will have bases, milk cartons, and frosting. Students need to bring in 1 box of graham crackers and 1-2 decorating items to share with the classes. The gingerbread houses will stay at school that weekend and parents may take them home the night of the Christmas concert.
THANK YOU to those who attended the GMEF Live and Silent auctions. Over $74,000 was raised for the school!
TOYS FOR TOTS: The elementary student council will be collecting new, unwrapped toys for Toys for Tots to help those less fortunate. Please send in the toy by Dec. 8th.
ELEMENTARY CHRISTMAS CONCERT is on Monday, Dec. 4 at 7:00 pm. Parents may bring their second grader to the classroom between 6:30-6:45. Students should wear nice and clean clothes. The gingerbread houses will be on display in the gym. After the concert, the second graders will be standing by the gingerbread houses. Parents may pick up their second grader and the gingerbread house in the gym to take home. We will not be coming back to the classroom after the concert.
CLASSROOM CHRISTMAS PARTIES: The classroom Christmas parties will be on Thursday, Dec. 21 at 1:15-2:45 pm. If you would like to help plan the games, donate food, or make up goody bags, please let the classroom teacher know.
TENNIS SHOES: If students are wearing boots to school in the morning, don’t forget to bring a pair of shoes for gym class.
HAPPY THANKSGIVING: May your family have a safe and warm thanksgiving. We have many things to be thankful for…family is one of them! Enjoy this extra long weekend and take a moment to reflect on the things you are thankful for.
