Pickled Red Onions 1 large red onion ¾ cup white wine vinegar
3 tbsp sugar 1 pinch salt 1 small piece of ginger 2 garlic cloves 1 tsp black pepper Slice the red onion into thin strips. Bring the vinegar, sugar, salt, ginger, garlic and black pepper to a boil in a small sauce pan. Add the red onion strips and cook for 30 seconds. Remove from the heat, let cool and store in the refrigerator until used. Pair the pickled red onions with soft boiled eggs, braised meats, or even top your chili.
