1. 2019 Rome New Year’s Day Parade

2. INCLUSIONS:
Participation in The City of Rome New Year’s Day Parade Festival centering around January 1, The official Rome New Year’s Day Parade is presented under the auspices of the Mayor of Rome and the City’s Special Events Directorate. The parade has a fabulous route beginning and ending in the Piazza del Popolo. Students will be the “puppeteers.”
All transportation from the hotel to and from the performance venue is included. All necessary transportation to and from additional performance venues is included.
The opportunity to perform in a variety of prestigious venues throughout Rome. We have been invited to perform in the Vatican, but this would REQUIRE A BALANCED SATB ENSEMBLE.

3. INCLUSIONS:
Six nights accommodation in the first class Barcelo Villa Mantegna and Marriott Courtyards hotels in Rom or similar.
Full Italian buffet breakfast with a wide range of hot and cold items served each day – 6 breakfasts included
Three course dinner at the hotel – 2 dinners
Three course dinner to be served in restaurants in or near the hotel – 3 dinners
Special New Year’s Eve Buffet in the hotel followed by a private party – 1 dinner
Lunches – 2 lunches included
Half-day educational coach and walking tour of Rome with professional English speaking guide, Half-day educational tour to the Colosseum and the Roman Forum, Half-day educational tour to Vatican City, Sistine Chapel, and St. Peter’s Basilica, and another Half-day tour to be decided upon by Choral Boosters.
MP4 including Rome tour audio, published program, digital photograph of the group from New Year’s Eve participation, t-shirt, medal, etc.
All audience members may attend any performance by the group for free.

4. INCLUSIONS:
Round trip economy class air travel on a scheduled airline from Charlotte, NC. One meal and one snack, plus beverages, are included. Movies and entertainment will be provided on all transatlantic flights.
One checked piece of luggage per person with a maximum weight of 50 lbs. and total dimensions not to exceeding 62”. A hand luggage allowance will vary, but usually includes one small piece of luggage, purse, or laptop case.
Comprehensive Insurance Policy covering cancellation for emergency reasons, medical and emergency expenses, personal accident, baggage, and delayed baggage.

 The land programme (or the Rome hospitality arrangements) is carefully controlled and monitored by the Roman authorities and is mandatory for all invited groups. This programme is quoted to you in US Dollars but is paid for in Euros. The rate of exchange used is that prevalent at the time the offer is made to you. Exchange rates can fluctuate. Should you move to a contract situation them we shall review the exchange rate at that time and make a price adjustment (upwards or downwards if necessary). Once a contract has been issued then provided you pay the initial deposit that is called for on the due date then the exchange rate will be locked in and the price guaranteed.

REFUND POLICY AS ESTABLISHED BY YOUTH MUSIC OF THE WORLD
$ 100 of the first deposit is non-refundable. All other deposits are refundable until June 1st No refunds will be made after that date unless the specific traveller falls within the cancellation provisions of the YMOTW included Insurance Coverage. Details of the insurance cover are given in this document.

7. Fundraising Options
T-Shirts: Advanced and Chamber are already ready to go. We are working on designs for an HRHS Chorus t-shirt that would not be affiliated with a particular class. (On Going)
Scripps Gift Cards: every gift card purchased, a portion of the profit goes to the student’s family purchasing or selling the gift card. (On Going)
SnapRaise!: Donation-based, NOTHING to sell. (February)
Block Party: in the area where the Christmas Tree Lighting is held. Food, vendors, performances, etc. Community experience. (March)
Dinner & A Show: variety show, all proceeds from ticket sales go to the student account responsible for selling the tickets. (April)
Any and ALL Band fundraisers are open to the chorus.

Checks are made payable to HRHS Chorus. INCLUDE PHONE NUMBER ON CHECK!!!
Yes, alumni are invited and encouraged to travel with the chorus. We received an invitation based on the performance quality of the these students. All parents and family are welcome, but each participant pays the same price as students.
Passports are NOT included, but the Postal Service has offered to come out to the school and do a “Passport Session” as a group with additional cost beyond the passport itself.
All funds raised from Band/Chorus can be applied to this trip once all outstanding fees have been paid for in full.
Students must be enrolled in chorus both semesters (Fall and Spring) during the school year in order to participate in this trip.
