2. 1.) Non-Objective Drawing
On 18” x 24” white oak tag paper, create a non-objective drawing using pencil.
Create interest by establishing a focal point, variety and eye movement.
Remember to use the rule of thirds in setting up your composition and placement of your focal point.
Focal Points are often established by using contrasts in values.
Use the whole range of values.
Use the entire composition by incorporating foreground, middle ground and background.
Create unity by overlapping, repetition (use the rule of thirds or odd number), variation and movement.
