So…Who Will be Surprised?

Some Who Claim To Be “Christians” Will Be Surprised
Many preachers will be surprised to discover that God meant what he said about preaching the truth of the gospel – Galatians 1:6-9; James 3:1 Galatians 1:6-9 – READ James 3:1 – “Not many of you should become teachers, my brothers, for you know that we who teach will be judged with greater strictness.” James 2:14,24,26 – “What good is it, my brothers, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can that faith save him?”…”You see that a person is justified by works and not by faith alone.”…For as the body apart from the spirit is dead, so also faith apart from works is dead.” Colossians 3:17 – “And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.” Mark 16:16 – “Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.” Acts 22:16 – “And now why do you wait? Rise and be baptized and wash away your sins, calling on his name.” Acts 2:38 – “And Peter said to them, ‘Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.”
15
Galatians 1:6-9 I marvel that you are turning away so soon from Him who called you in the grace of Christ, to a different gospel, 7 which is not another; but there are some who trouble you and want to pervert the gospel of Christ. 8 But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed. 9 As we have said before, so now I say again, if anyone preaches any other gospel to you than what you have received, let him be accursed.
16
James 3:1… My brethren, let not many of you become teachers, knowing that we shall receive a stricter judgment.

Some Who Claim To Be “Christians” Will Be Surprised
Many preachers will be surprised to discover that God meant what he said about preaching the truth of the gospel – Galatians 1:6-9; James 3:1 Many professed believers will be surprised to discover that “faith only” did not save them – James 2:14, 24, 26 Galatians 1:6-9 – READ James 3:1 – “Not many of you should become teachers, my brothers, for you know that we who teach will be judged with greater strictness.” James 2:14,24,26 – “What good is it, my brothers, if someone says he has faith but does not have works?
18
James 2:14, 24, 26… What does it profit, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can faith save him? 24 You see then that a man is justified by works, and not by faith only. 26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.

Arise and be baptized, and wash away your sins, calling on the name of the Lord.'
