Part 1 questions Hurricane Isabel was a category 5 hurricane.
The maximum wind speed was 165mph. The minimum pressure was 915bar It made landfall on the Outer Banks and went through North Carolina, Virginia, Maryland, West Virginia, Delaware, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania Ohio, Michigan, Washington and DC. 51 people were killed because more than half were evacuated. The damage Isabel made in dollar value was $5.37 billion. Isabel was a middle (peek season) storm- (August, September). The hurricane formed over the Atlantic Ocean. She retired after the 2003 season.

Almost 64% of the damage and 68% of the deaths occurred in North Carolina and Virginia. A tropical wave moved off the coast of Africa on September 1, 2003 which helped the hurricane get started. On September 3, 2003 it passed to the south of the Cape Verde islands. The hurricane was on September 6, 2003 through September 20, 2003. Isabel was hurricane 5 and storm 16. She created a storm surge after it resulted in $3.9 billion in damage and un 2003 USD $4.62 billion.

Part 2 questions All storms go through two distinct. They go through tropical dopriession-38mph and tropical storm-39mph. For a hurricane to be a category 1 hurricane the wind speed has to be 39-73mph. For hurricanes to form over tropical waters the water temperature must at least be 80º F. All hurricanes have a wide rage of weather related dangers that can be very deadly. Storm surges are cause the most the most deaths during a storm. In a land-falling hurricanes, tornadoes are most likely to occur on the front right side of the central eye. The part of the hurricane with the strongest winds is the eye wall.
