2. RESEARCH OBJECTIVES:
What is the public perception of the democratization process?
RESEARCH METHODOLOGY:
The researcher engaged 28 respondents in three Focus Group Discussions of youth and elders and seven Key Informant interviews with youth, women, elders, TPEC commissioner, religious leader, political parties and officials from the Ministry of Constitution and Federal Affairs and selected residents of Garowe

3. RESEARCH FINDINGS:
Lack of an honest and effect leader who is dedicated to implementing the democratization process
Lack of awareness in the community about the democratization process
Existence of tribalism and self interest
Elders not dedicated to transform from clan politics to democracy
Religious scholars do not oppose democracy unless people vote for what Allah has forbidden and neglect the ways of Holy Quran
