Workforce Development Partners
ANEW Mission statement: Improves peoples’ lives by providing quality training, employment navigation and supportive services leading to successful family wage careers (focus on women, and minorities) Focused on their 12 week pre-apprenticeship program. 4 cohorts of 15 – 20 women per year. Seattle Goodwill Mission statement: Provides quality, effective employment training and basic education to individuals experiencing significant barriers to economic opportunity Focused on their Youth Year Around Program. 38 students, ages 15 – 17, 9 month program that focuses on career exploration. Using the personas and measurement system as a guide, we participated in 3 design sessions that involved

Prototype Money Mindset
We learned that financial capability integration is not about delivering more information more frequently, but about changing mindsets when it comes to the culture of money by talking about it early and often. Through dialog generated by activity cards we inspire clearer goals and meaning when it comes to money, build healthy identities with financial wellness, and create intention for the financial future they want. Money Mindset Choosing your own path to financial wellbeing. Activity cards that generate dialog to build inspiration, healthy identities, and intention. We learned that financial capability integration is not about delivering more information more frequently, but about changing mindsets when it comes to the culture of money by talking about it early and often. Through dialog generated by activity cards we inspire clearer goals and meaning when it comes to money, build healthy identities with financial wellness, and create intention for the financial future they want.

Reflections on Process
It worked! Personas are powerful CFPB’s Financial Wellness definition Lots of insights, principles, thoughts around creating an environment of choice. (“Don’t buy a truck” example) Solution fills a real need in the field & is feasible
