EOB Methodology Try an lead the discussion to: Knowledge of the various routes in terms of a Guide or at least a map Tools to facilitate the journey and protect from the elements. Every project has unseen dangers, that can be avoided when you know what to look for, what risks are likely and how to avoid them, and how to navigate around them, or use tools to overcome them. Implementation -and- Upgrade projects are like maps, while each project has a common goal/destination but there may be several ways to get there.

QAD Software & EOB Processes Core Model Site 1 This slide shows how the project will progress from standard software (left) to the complete solution implemented in each site (right), using a Core Model built with common requirements. The identification of local requirements makes it possible to provide local solutions (additional set-up in the standard software, localization, or modification) for each site. The two-way arrow emphasizes the feedback from each site to the Core Model (Core Model maintenance). The results of creating a Core Model are shown in the circle: Software setup which can be duplicated (communication or tape) Documentation of this set-up and of business procedures Procedures for implementation (modification requests, issue log, hot-line) Training environment to train local project teams on the Core Model Development environment to maintain common interfaces or modifications After this slide, go back to the roll out Strategy presentation if you want to detail when the project team is working on the Core Model during the different phases of the project. This usually includes shared decision making with team members from other locations. A collection of requirements that are considered shared by the majority of the company around which standard solution definitions can be built. A central commitment to maintain the model with updates as necessary to keep the distributed solution standard or “Core”. A project to define the standard solution. The project can be organized only to build the “Core Model” or to build the “Core Model” as part of an implementation at a site that is most common.
