Gen5 Static IP Overview Starting Monday, Oct 30, Static IP will be available in DSS for new site orders New orders, upgrades, and downgrades are all supported Reseller can purchase one (1) Static IPv4 IP Address per HT2000W MSRP: $20/site/month Notes: Static IPs are only supported on the HT200oW Static IPs are not supported with Hughes HTS configurations (HT2000 with an HR4700) Auto-deploy systems (HT2000”T” with a CCOM Ka-98H) Technical Overview: The Gen5 technical implementation is different from Spaceway, HN, or HX Gen5 IPv4 Static IP Addressing uses “Port Forwarding” to reach devices on the local LAN

Static IP Technical Details
The Static IP Address is assigned to the internal IP addressing table of the HT2000W modem In this example, Hughes assigns to the internal IP of the modem. Customers cannot choose static Ips. Note: is not reachable from the remote LAN or the internet The HT2000W uses Port Forwarding and PAT to connect to a remote device behind the HT2000W This allows a single public IP address to be used to access up to 10 hosts on the private network behind the HT2000W. The static IP address will be assigned only when the modem is commissioned The modem must have completed commissioning and activation Downloading the configuration of the Static IP can take minutes The modem System Control Center will show when the StaticIP is configured The System Control Center on the modem can be accessed from a local PC via: Enter Enter

From the System Control Center
From the System Control Center homepage, navigate to the top and click on System Information. Your static IP address will be listed in the Information box shown below. In this case, the IPv4 address is

Set Local Static IP Click on WiFi Settings in the left navigation box
Modem must be HT2000W You will be presented with a login screen Default password is “admin” Click Login

Navigate to the left side panel. Click on LAN DHCP in the menu of options. Next, click the COPY TO button found at the bottom of the screen. This will copy the MAC address of the intended device into the table. Type a number between 2 to 254 in the last box of the IP address. Click Save Settings. The local LAN will always be: /24 The modem is always The local devices can be set between to Up to 10 local devices can be accessed. Then, reboot each intended remote device to port to.

Set Port Mapping Navigate to the left side panel.
Click on NAT in the menu of options. Click on Port Mapping. Assign one to three digit number between 2 to 254 (If you followed Step 3, use the same numbers) to the LAN IP Address column. Next, enter your public and LAN port numbers. Click on Enable. Click on Save Settings.
