3. Doctrine of Continual Cleansing I John 1:7
1 John 1:7 But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.

As an idea it suggests: We are cleansed as long as we are in Christ As a doctrine it suggests: We commit sins from day to day, possibly in ignorance, that we may not need to repent from, so long as we generally abide in Christ

The Bible teaches “Perfectionism” as a possibility Jesus did: Matthew 5:48 "Therefore you shall be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect.” Matthew 19:21 Jesus said to him, "If you want to be perfect, go, sell what you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow Me.“
The world says “Nobody’s perfect”. Does the Bible teach this?

Colossians 1:28 Him we preach, warning every man and teaching every man in all wisdom, that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus.

God may choose to overlook sins we cannot repent Luke 18:13-14 The man who slips at the baptistery The man who curses in his death If He does it is ONLY because we strive for perfection Such as Josiah’s position
REPENTANCE is the only means of removing sin we have guaranteed to aid us

Romans 15:4
For whatever was written in earlier times was written for our instruction, so that through perseverance and the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope.
