Registration & Competition Management Regulations
RATIONALE Australian Rugby contend that where Clubs are undertaking the majority of the registration and competition management tasks with a high level of accreditation compliance. Clubs will be creating a financially sustainable platform for themselves through ensuring all players pay or commit to pay at the time of registration and receive their Club fees in a timely fashion Clubs have collected the latest most accurate and relevant participant information and minimised risk Clubs are providing complete and full match information for their community and accurately recording incidents and injuries for the safety and welfare of their players Through the accreditation compliance targets for non-playing members, Clubs are ensuring their Club is a safe, inclusive and fair environment through the education and training of volunteers taking on defined roles.

Registration Online self-registration for ALL players, non-playing members (committee members and team officials - coaches, managers, first aid/medical staff etc.) and match officials; and Online payment for ALL Players (full or part payment).

Registration Benefits:
Accurate participant records, compliance with Rugby Australia insurance scheme for effective registration and legislative requirement regarding individual adherence to term and conditions of registration. Automatic settlement of registration liability to all entities supporting individual insurance responsibility and reducing on paper debt and subsequent manual invoicing fee collection process. National Targets: 90% online self-registration 80% online payment

Competition Management
Online competition management for ALL competitions; Online Team selection for ALL matches in competitions (includes players and team officials); Online recording of match information for ALL competition matches (result, player statistics, incident and injuries); and Online case management of incidents and injuries – for all Competition matches (includes players and team officials).

Benefits: Centralised online view providing stakeholders with access to competition specific information, plus compliance with player safety and welfare regulations. Accurate view, recording and reporting of participants taking part in matches Accurate recording of match statistics, incidents and injuries Accurate incident and injury outcome case management: exclusion and suspension automation, file storage and historical injury and judicial records National Targets: 90% of all competitions managed online via Rugby Link 80% of all teams selected online 80% of all teams recording incidents and injuries online

Accreditation Requirements
Mandatory accreditation requirements for all Team officials and Match officials for ALL competition matches. ALL Coaches minimum accreditation - Smart Rugby, Member Protection/Inclusion & Code of Conduct; Managers hold minimum accreditation – Rugby Link Team Manager Tasks, Concussion & Serious Injury Management, Member Protection/Inclusion & Code of Conduct; ALL Competition Managers minimum accreditation - Rugby Link Preparing, Setting-up and Managing Competitions, Concussion & Serious Injury Management, Member Protection/Inclusion & Code of Conduct;

Accreditation Requirements
ALL Match Officials minimum accreditation - Smart Rugby, Member Protection/Inclusion & Code of Conduct; First Aid/Medical staff hold a minimum accreditation – First Aid in Rugby [WR online] + Concussion & Serious Injury Management Each Club to have an identified Ground Marshall holding a minimum accreditation – completed the Ground Marshall Course Member Protection accreditation requirements for ALL Clubs identified designated Member Protection Contact that is accredited – MPC accreditation (Member Protection/Inclusion & Code of Conduct)

FOR CLUBS The Club covers the registration fees for players, how do they register? How do we handle government vouchers for our junior players? What happens if a player doesn’t have a credit card? What’s happens if the registration fees are too high to pay all at once? FOR PLAYERS I don’t have a credit card I cannot afford to pay the registration in full when I register I want to pay my Club cash I want to use a direct debit plan I have a government voucher so how can I pay online? What happens if the government voucher is less than the registration fee? What happens if the government voucher is more than the registration fee? The Club registration is free so how do I register? Grade Settings Competition Management > Competition > Grades > Maintain Grades, Teams and Ladders > Edit Grade Name (mandatory) Ensure ‘Active’ is ticked (default) Grade sort order Grade Type (mandatory) Age qualification - where there is a maximum or minimum (or both) age limits for the grade, enter the date of birth as follows: No age restrictions: Leave both From and To DOB fields blank Maximum age restriction (eg player must be Under 17, Under 18 at a certain time within the season): Enter the earliest DOB the player can be in the From DOB field, leave the To DOB field blank Minimum age restriction (eg player must be Over 45, 50): Enter the latest DOB the player can be in the To DOB field, leave the From DOB field blank Minimum and Maximum age restriction (eg player must be between 16-18): Enter both To and From DOB fields Note: the DOB values must be updated every season. Players selected in teams where age restrictions apply who do not meet the age requirements will be listed in the Ineligible players in grades with age restriction exception report.
