PROJECT GUIDE: R.Vel Murugan M.Tech.,(MBA).,(AP/EIE) PROJECT MEMBERS: R.Arun (11EI007) A.M.Muhammed Yousuf ( 11EI046) G.Saravana Kumar (11EI066)

2 Objective: The AHSR is a robot that is used to reduce the human work in hotels. They are designed to replace the servers and to do their work/task.

It uses IR sensors for line follower and sonar sensor for obstacle avoidance. It cannot find which is the shortest path if more than two paths are given.

5 Methodology: We use Light sensors to track the path for the robot to reach the customer and the track is made up of led strips. These sensors acts as the eyes of the robot. We use an IR sensor/color sensor to detect which table the robot needs to deliver the ordered dish perfectly .The IR transmitter is fixed in the table whereas the receiver is fixed in the robot when the chef switches on the particular table IR transmitter, upon receiving the IR signal the robot stops and delivers the dish using a dc motor fixed to the serving plate.

9 CONCLUSION: The AHSR is a robot that is used to reduce the human work in hotels. They are designed to replace the servers and to do their work/task. This is our project main objective. In our methodology, we use Light sensors to track the path for the robot to reach the customer and the track is made up of led strips. These sensors act as the eyes of the robot. And also we use an IR sensor/color sensor to detect which table the robot needs to deliver the ordered dish perfectly .The IR transmitter is fixed in the table whereas the receiver is fixed in the robot when the chef switches on the particular table IR transmitter, upon receiving the IR signal the robot stops and delivers the dish using a dc motor fixed to the serving plate. The Hotel server robot is working in a way as per above mentioned methodology. But there is a drawback, the robot is not responding when turning off IR transmitter. The drawback can be rectified by using delay function in the program. The sensors located in the left or right side of the dish plate and its senses the table. According to that the dish plate motor rotates in respective direction and waits for few seconds of delay then restore its original position. Instead of using delay we can also use tactile sensor to detect the plate whether it is empty or not. By that we can drive the motor back to its original position for the costumer’s convenience.

10 Application: Can be used for Workshops, Libraries, Offices and Industries. Can be used in Military applications. Can be used in Hospitals. Can be used in Hotels, Shopping Mals etc.,

11 Future Works: We are going to make use of tactile sensor to find the whether the ordered items are delivered or not. Instead of using mobile robots we are going to make androids or humanoids to do the same work with more precision.
