The services section was not on the PLP document at the start of last year but we did touch on it a little bit towards the mid/end of the year. This will be the storage space for any interventions used by teachers throughout the school year. For the PLP interview you don’t need to do anything in this section, just click continue.

Check the “Print in Plan” box

Ask the student what they feel like are their academic strengths, academic needs and how they learn best. (Addition: type in date before the student response)

Once you’re back to the main screen your PLP is complete
Click the print tab to open the document as a PDF, don’t worry you don’t have to print it.

Almost there… Once the document opens as a PDF click file and Save As
Store the PLP wherever you want to keep your homeroom information at, you will need to upload this document to TotalView
29
Getting closer… Start a K-mail to send the completed PLP document to the student Make sure you use the correct PLP template (ILP Action Qtr 1) for any PLP completed throughout the year, send to the student AND CC the appropriate counselor: Mrs. Barness (6-8) New Counselor (H.S. A-K) Mr. Smith (H.S. L-Z)
30
When you select the ILP Action Qtr 1 template it will pull up a bunch of pre-loaded questions. Delete the questions and fill in with a basic statement to the student that the PLP is attached for their own records. Be sure to attach the PLP document in the K-mail AND check the “File this K-Mail as a Note” box before sending.
