PRSSA is the foremost organization for students interested in public relations, business and communications. PRSSA seeks to advance the Public Relations profession by training and developing outstanding generations of future professionals.

Who We Are PRSSA is made up of more than 11,000 students and advisers
organized into 300 plus Chapters in the United States and one in Argentina. We are headquartered in New York City, and led by a National Committee of PRSSA and PRSA members. Workshops Seminars Guest Speakers Scholarships and Competitions Trips to PR and Ad Agencies or Firms Trips to National PRSSA conferences and events Our Chapter of PRSSA is relatively small compared to many of our neighboring chapters in North Carolina. But our overall goal is to enhance our member’s education through workshops, seminars, guest speakers, scholarships and competions, and various trips we take as a group to PR and Ad Agencies or Firms or to National PRSSA conferences or events.

Publications News Social Media PRSSA offers a variety of tools available at your fingertips for enhancing your education outside the classroom. PRSSA offers publications, news and social media to keep you updated on industry trends.

Broadening Your Network
National and regional conferences and seminars PRSSA helps you broaden your network by hosting national and regional conferences and seminars. These are some of the Regional conferences and seminars we attend yearly.

As you can see, our National events take place nation-wide, many of them in major cities.

Social media chats and discussions PRSSA also hosts social media chats and discussions, like our upcoming Twitter chat on January 29th. Theses are great opportunities to network with other students as well as professionals.

Launch Your Career PRSA JobCenter Career preparation tools
Career Coaching Discounted rate for PRSA membership As a PRSSA member, you can use the PRSA Jobcenter to find public relations employment opportunities all over the world. You also have access to career preparation tools and career coaches who are dedicated to helping you find the right path that fits you. You also may join PRSA for just $60 a year as an Associate Member when you graduate, connecting you to 110 Chapters, 16 Professional Interest Sections, and resources especially for new professionals.

Now, let’s have some of our members come up and give you an idea of what they have gotten from PRSSA since becoming a member. This is their honest opinion, and their statements are unscripted. Let’s start with Danielle Cloud, a PRSSA Executive Board member. Let’s hear from one of our newest members, Sherry Jacobs, who was recently inducted as our Vice President.

Annual Member Dues PRSSA chapter members pay dues annually to hold member status and have access to all of the member benefits you just heard about today, and more. Our chapter’s dues are $65.
