2 Objectives of UNEVOC Network
To encourage and promote the development of TVET systems in Member States To develop the capacities of UNEVOC Centres and associated TVET practitioners, and, To share knowledge, know-how and competencies through good practices and innovation in TVET

3 Present status Unique and exclusive GLOBAL community of TVET experts
285 UNEVOC Centres listed on the online Directory in 167 UNESCO Member States Regular and systematic contact through meetings, regular progress reports and updates The e-Forum is a unique dynamic network of more than 2000 members An exclusive global virtual learning platform for TVET Out of the 285 UNEVOC Centres in 167 UNESCO Member States contacted 109 Centres located in 89 countries have updated their Profile. (62 % of the UNEVOC Network is underway to be updated.)

10 Strategy 1: Reorganise functioning of Network
Make an audit of present Centres, update the profiles prepare an inventory of lead government institutions responsible for core functions of TVET in countries Review existing criteria for selection of NEW National UNEVOC Centres approve revised criteria to ensure the location of centres in strategically important national focal points for core TVET functions Orientation sessions for new Centre Contact persons, a manual for UNEVOC Centres with clear guidelines and plan to mentor/support (also NEW) UNEVOC Centres a ‘sunset clause’ of four years

11 Strategy 2: Creation of sub-nets for better management
Creation of sub-nets in all regions to allow for a better interface with ALL the Centres to facilitate information flow. Selection of one Centre in each sub-net on a voluntary and rotational basis including mechanisms to inform Bonn Centre and Centres in the sub-net on relevant activities planned or implemented. Develop a strategic relationship with the UNESCO Regional and Field Offices and involve them in the selection of NEW national Centres, joint planning and execution of UNEVOC activities Creation of thematic clusters not necessarily based on sub-nets Updating the existing UNEVOC Network Directory

13 Strategy 3: Active engagement in Resource Centre Development
More involvement and contribution of the UNEVOC Centres in the UNESCO/UNEVOC resource development program. More engagement in online Services and Communication Strategy to strengthen information flow Encourage language diversity and producing translations of documents into relevant languages interconnect and improve the E-Forum, Website, Bulletin and publications to make them more attractive, user-friendlier, and better serve the information needs Find more appropriate mechanism to update the UNEVOC Centres’ online profile a strategy for dissemination of publications to UNEVOC Network Centres

14 Strategy 4: Scale up collaboration and Partners
Scale up South-South and North-South-South collaboration Develop online database of TVET in all countries Sensitise UNESCO country delegations, policy makers and planners of member countries and other TVET partners initiate or revive Memorandum of Understanding (MOUs) between the UNESCO-UNEVOC International Centre and international agencies Scale up inter-regional activities and sharing

15 Role of sub-net coordinating centre
Facilitation Coordination Logistical and intellectual support Short training (if needed) to a secretary so as to obtain administrator’s rights to update online information
