Application Deadline Date- February 16, 2018
Schools will select at least three Magnet Mondays from four proposed dates:
January 22, January 29, February 5, February 12
Schools may offer additional Magnet Mondays at their discretion
Magnet Monday dates for each school will be published and posted online

2. Magnet Monday and Open House
Schools will select at least three Magnet Mondays from four proposed dates:
January 22, January 29, February 5, February 12

Schools will host at least one evening Open house between the Showcase (Jan 20th) and the application deadline (Feb 16th)
Schools select the date of their event; dates will be posted online
Schools may elect to host more than one Open House

3. High School Options Nights
Two High School Options Nights will be held
One central Greensboro location and one central High Point location
Host sites will be central, acce3ssible, and neutral with adequate space and parking
High School Options representatives will be at both Options Nights.
Dates and times of these events will be shared as they become available.

4. Next Steps
Guidance Lessons will be provided to 8th graders at AJP over the next few months that will focus on High School Options
(Interview tips, application organization, essay writing, etc.)
Applications will be available on the Magnet Schools GCS page or in
Ms. Smith’s counseling suite.
Recommendation letters must be delivered to teachers by Friday, Feb. 9th
Completed applications must be turned into Ms. Smith by Tuesday, Feb. 13th
