5 THE ROLE OF PARENTS “My son, hear the instruction of thy father, and forsake not the law of thy mother:” Prov. 1:8

6 THE ROLE OF PARENTS “My son, if sinners entice thee, consent thou not. If they say, Come with us, let us lay wait for blood, let us lurk privily for the innocent without cause:” Prov.1:10,11

Discipline is Essential. Adrenaline is Provided. “He that spareth his rod hateth his son: but he that loveth him chasteneth him betimes.” Prov 13:24

Corporeal punishment should be: Understood. Deserved. Limited. “Withhold not correction from the child: for if thou beatest him with the rod, he shall not die. Thou shalt beat him with the rod, and shalt deliver his soul from hell.” Prov 23:13-14

Corporeal punishment leads to: Peace. Harmony. “Correct thy son, and he shall give thee rest; yea, he shall give delight unto thy soul.” Prov 29:17

21 WISDOM CRIETH WITHOUT! “Wisdom crieth without; she uttereth her voice in the streets: She crieth in the chief place of concourse, in the openings of the gates: in the city she uttereth her words, …” Pro. 1:20-21 Wisdom is constantly calling upon people to consider their ways.

22 WISDOM CRIETH WITHOUT! Proverbs 1:22
“How long, ye simple ones, will ye love simplicity? and the scorners delight in their scorning, and fools hate knowledge?” Proverbs 1:22 Some people do not like to change. Others like to mock. Others cannot be told.

23 WISDOM CRIETH WITHOUT! In real life, this often happens.
“I also will laugh at your calamity; I will mock when your fear cometh; When your fear cometh as desolation, and your destruction cometh as a whirlwind; when distress and anguish cometh upon you.” Proverbs 1:26-27 In real life, this often happens. It may be the only way some will learn the way of righteousness. Others will die in the process.

24 WISDOM CRIETH WITHOUT! What you sow is what you shall reap.
“Therefore shall they eat of the fruit of their own way, and be filled with their own devices. For the turning away of the simple shall slay them, and the prosperity of fools shall destroy them.” Proverbs 1:31-32 What you sow is what you shall reap.

25 WISDOM CRIETH WITHOUT! “But whoso hearkeneth unto me shall dwell safely, and shall be quiet from fear of evil.” Proverbs 1:33
