Amendments to the EC SRD Decision
UK Consultation will be cover the following and will take around 2 – 3 months to complete New Exemptions for the following equipment: Tank Level Probing Radar at 4.5 – 7, 8.5 – 10.6, – 27, 57 – 64 and 75 – 85 GHz; Radio determination applications at 2400 – MHz and 17.1 – 17.3 GHz (including Ground Based SAR); and Wideband data transmission systems at 57 – 66 GHz (including wireless distribution of High Definition video) We are also allowing airborne use for the following equipment: Wideband data transmission systems at 2400 – MHz and 57 – 66 GHz; Radio determination applications at 2400 – MHz; Model Control at – 27000, – 27050, – , – and kHz; and Radio Frequency Identification at 2446 – 2454 MHz.

SRD Bands that may be of interest to IEEE 802 Groups
60GHz – ad , c 2.4GHz – and (various groups) 400/800MHz – (various groups) Active medical implants bands (915KHz, 402MHz) – RFID and generic bands – f – are there any other useful band available? g – are there any useful bands available? (400/800 MHz, 2.4GHz etc.)
