Broadcasting scanners to internet users (RX only)
BroadCastify Broadcasting scanners to internet users (RX only) Broadcastify streams on air stations from scanners and receivers around the world through an internet portal and to users. Scanner feeds are donated and the responsibility of the owner to keep uptime. The owner defines the feeds name, uptime hours and location as well as additional notes to Broadcastify.

End User Internet users can tap into the receive only feed of the EPRC repeater via: An App (SmartPhone and Tablet) Through iTunes Via the WebSite Stream through MP3 player Iphone and Andriod apps are already available for free as well as website access. This is free base access with “crowd notifications” to paid premium users. Updates and feed info from owners are provided through Broadcastify.

Debian Base Raspbian Jesse 4.1 Kernel 5 Volts, 2Amp max IceCast and Ices2 BroadCastify The raspberry Pi is a small form compute system that runs off a Linux Operating System. It has open-source community backing and provides very low RF Interference. ( if a quality power source is used)

Where? This can be run from anywhere with an internet connection
Will run from out of my house Tested and can get good receive audio Will test stream once approved The location of the device is mainly dependent on where the repeater signal can be “heard”. Power considerations are flexible as the unit takes 5V with a max of 2A. This very easily can be run from battery with solar charge for a low-maintenance solution.

Maintenance (updates, just time) Internet costs for user or streamer MP3 internet stream (0.015Mb/Sec.) 24/7 ~ 128 kbps with 1 stream/listener for 1 Month ( seconds) uses 39.55 GB ( MB) of bandwidth.
