2.7 Absolute Value Functions and Graphs

The simplest form of the absolute value
function is written f(x)=|x| or y = |x|. This is called the parent function. Its v shaped and symmetric about a vertical line called the axis of symmetry. The highest or lowest point is called the vertex.
