2 What's next? Follow the capacity matrix!

3 What is teacher pace? If a student is on teacher pace they are exactly where they should be on the focus calendar. There is a 1 week grace period before a zero is entered in the gradebook. It is ok to be behind teacher pace, however this should be a sign that you may need to ask for extra help or come to tutoring. Tutoring is Monday, Tuesday and Thursday 8:15-8:50 Wednesday and Friday by appointment When you finish the current capacity matrix you may move onto the next one!

4 How will I earn my grade in science?
Binder checks All items on the capacity matrix must be completed and you need to be ready to discuss what you’ve learned before taking SBA’s. Standard based assessments (SBA) Must make an 80% or higher to reach mastery If an 80% is not achieved you will have to do reteach activities, mini-lessons or small group with teacher before attempting the quiz again. Unit exams A mixture of all SBA’s for that unit as well as any other standard learned or reviewed this year. Mastery must be met on all SBA’s before attempting unit exams Assessments 30% Assignments 70%

Schoology Remind to 81010 It is expected that students will attempt to contact the teacher if they have questions about an assignment.
