Symmetry in the y-axis: (-x,y) is on the graph whenever (x,y) is Symmetry in the x-axis: (x,-y) is on the graph whenever (x,y) is.

Test for symmetry in the origin:
(-x,-y) is on the graph whenever (x,y) is. Test for symmetry in the line y = x: (y,x) is on the graph whenever (x,y) is.
