3 Itinerary Tuesday Wednesday
Meet at Gatwick North Departure Drop off Point at 04:45am sharp. Flight departs 07:25am from Gatwick Airport, arrives 10:30 Barcelona. Travel via metro to Dream Hostal, settle in. 1.00pm leave for Poble Espanyol for visit and Treasure Hunt. 4.15pm depart for Funicular railway and cable car ride to Castell de Monjuic. 7pm approx. return to Hostel for Paella supper. 8.30pm, relax in rooms, 9pm Bed! Wednesday 7.45am Breakfast at Dream Hostel. 8.30am leave for Sagrada Familia for guided tour of the Basilica. 11.00am Leave for Las Ramblas and La Boquería Market to shop for lunch and souvenirs. 1.00pm Picnic lunch (either La Placa Real or El Born area). 3.00/3.30pm Visit to Picasso Museum for guided tour (possibility of a visit to the new El Born Cultural Centre and/or Santa María del Mar Basilica). Beach visit/games, time & weather permitting. No burying in sand further than the waist! 7.30pm Chill out time 8.00pm, Dinner at La Masia Restaurant. Return to Dream Hostel – Bed!

4 Itinerary Thursday Friday
7.00am Wake up for breakfast at Dream Hostal. 8.15am Leave for Escuela Jesús, María i Josep 9.00am Play/song/dance/musical performances, games and lunch. 2.15pm leave for visit to Parc Guell. 3.30pm Afternoon visit to Parc Guell. 6.00pm Return to Dream Hostal, pack and relax. 7.30pm Tapas at La Masia. Friday 6:30am Breakfast at Dream Hostal. 7.15amTravel to city centre via metro to Plaza Catalunya. 8.30am Leave luggage at Luggage lockers in Plaza Catalunya. 8.45am Walk to Passeig de Gracia for visit to La Casa Battló at 9.15. 11.15am Return to Catalunya to collect luggage. 12.00pm Airport Bus to Terminal 2 for 3.10 flight to Gatwick North. 4.30 pm Meet parents ¡Adios Amigos!

5 Health & Safety Parents should supply the Y5 class teachers with any clearly labeled medication their child requires. Dream Hostal operates a comprehensive safety policy, dormitory doors locked but easily opened from inside. All children will carry their name, address of hostel and teachers’ mobile phone numbers on wrist bands at all times. Rigorous risk assessment of each venue, travel and all planned activities has been undertaken. Very high children / adult ratio, small groups of 3 children max per adult. All Staff are First Aid trained. First aid kit carried at all times.

7 Kit List Important - named in a suitcase they can wheel and carry.
PASSPORTS (please check expiry date)/ EHIC cards Sensible clothes (2 or 3 trousers/shorts*; t-shirts & sweatshirts) *NO tiny, fashion shorts. No Electronic equipment. Wash kit - including soap, toothbrush and toothpaste. COMFORTABLE WALKING SHOES Chiddingstone School caps required Lightweight waterproof ¡En abril aguas mil! Personal medication Indoor footwear / slippers Pyjamas and underwear Sunscreen (packed in the suitcase). Teddy bear / soft toy / torch Pocket money, we suggest a maximum of 30 Euros Small rucksack with zip Camera (optional) Drink bottle (empty for check in) Reading book Playing cards or similar
