1. A story forJack, Jane and Joe

2. Jack, Jane and Joe used to live at home with their mummy when Mary the SW, started visiting them because Mummy was feeling sad and was finding it hard to do all the things she needed to do for Jack, Jane and Joe.

3. Mary was worried mummy couldn’t look after Jack , Jane and Joe.
She was worried Mummy wasn’t able to keep them safe or do all the things
she needed to do for them. She was worried Jack , Jane and Joe were getting hurt and also saw their mummy get hurt sometimes.

4. Mary was also worried that Jack told his teacher and Mary that Mummy was hitting him; and that Mummy was sometimes upset and angry in front on them. Mary and other grown ups were also worried that Jack, Jane and Joes Daddy was unkind to them and unkind to their mummy too. Jack, Jane and Joes Daddy went away and they have not seen him for a long time.

5. Mary took Jack , Jane and Joe to live with Linda and Rick.
Linda and Rick are foster carers who look after children when it’s not safe
for them to be at home, Linda and Rick look after children for a short time until they either go home to their mummy or daddy or until they are found a new forever family.

6. Mary and other grown ups want to make sure Jack, Jane and Joe are safe and happy for ever and ever. Linda and Rick want Jack, Jane and Joe to be safe and happy too.
Mary had to go to see a judge to tell the judge she didn’t think it was safe for Jack, Jane and Joe to go home to live with Mummy.
A judge is like a wise old owl. He listened to Mary and he listened to Mummy. He had to decide if it was safe for Jack, Jane and Joe to go home to their Mummy or whether they needed to live somewhere else until they were grown up.

7. The judge listened to everyone and used his big brain to think about what is best for Jack, Jane and Joe. The judge decided that Jack, Jane and Joe cannot go home to their mummy because he agrees with Mary and is worried their mummy will not be able to look after them and keep them safe.
Jack, Jane and Joe will stay living with Linda and Rick for a short time until Mary finds Jack, Jane and Joe a new forever and ever families to live with. Forever families are also called adopters.
Kelly is a special person who took Jack, Jane and Joe to see their mummy. Kelly will still take Jack, Jane and Joe to see their mummy sometimes but when Jack , Jane and Joe go to live with their forever families/adopters they have to then say goodbye to their mummy and all their old family. Kelly or Mary and Linda and Rick will help Jack, Jane and Joe say goodbye and will help them move to their new forever families.
