Loving God with All of Me
Jesus said that the first of all the commandments is, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.” What does it mean to love God with every part of ourselves? Loving God with All of Me Mark 12:29-30 Deuteronomy 6:4-5

The mind is the intellect —the center of our thinking and the repository of our knowledge (Psalm 139:17-18) To love God with all our minds, we must study His word constantly and thoroughly! (Deuteronomy 6:6-12; 2 Timothy 2:15) The mind that loves God will meditate on His words and deeds (Psalm 77:12; 119:15- 16, 47-48)

With our strength we use our abilities, gifts, energy, and time. (Ephesians 5:15-16) Loving God with all our strength means that we do and dare to do His will (Nehemiah 4:14; Psalm 119:55; Joshua 1:7; 23:6-8)

God’s love for us inspires our love for Him
We love Him because He first loved us. (1 John 4:19) By this we know love, because He laid down His life for us (1 John 3:16)

God’s love for us inspires our love for Him
“For the love of Christ compels us, because we judge thus: that if One died for all, then all died; and He died for all, that those who live should live no longer for themselves, but for Him who died for them and rose again.” (2 Corinthians 5:14-15)
