2. Paws for a Cause: Purpose and goal
Purpose: To raise money and awareness for the animals of the Oswego Humane Society.
Goal: We didn't really have a set number on how much we were going to raise, but we reached $2,100 to donate to the Humane Society. Another big goal for us was for it to be success and possibly be able to make this an annual event for our chapter.

3. Paws for a Cause: event details
-This event was held at our house (Sigma Tau Chi) on Wednesday April 5th. -Contact person: Gage Geminn ( ) and Nick Derbabian ( ) -For people to attend we had other orgs us to help table at our house and work the door to make the process smoother. -We supplied bracelets saying “Paws for a Cause” and bought burgers and hotdogs to provide food for the long day.

4. Paws for a cause: Event Audience
Greek Organizations: We contacted each chapter’s President to relay our fundraising idea and see if they wanted to be a part of it.
Oswego neighbors: We put a flyer in neighbor’s mailboxes so they knew in advance that we were hosting a fundraising event.

5. Spreading the word about your event
-We have an alumni Facebook page that we share our fundraising and community service events to show older brothers what active members are doing to keep a successful organization going on SUNY Oswego’s campus.
-For the fundraiser we went around to local businesses to get items to raffle off. We were able to get the word out to local businesses and possibly their customers.

6. Resources and accountability
Social Media: Social Media Chairmen
-We have an Instagram account that we were able to promote our event.
Merchandise/Event Management:
-We bought the “Paws for a Cause” bracelets
-Promoted the name of the event
