3. Symbolism and Culture
To understand the symbolism of color, the reader must know what culture is being described. For example:
West, white is for weddings
Eastern cultures white is the color for mourning and funerals.
It could be quite confusing or ironic depending upon the purpose of the author.

4. BLACK serious conventional, mysterious, and sophisticated.
West-black is the color of mourning.
young people, black is rebellion.
Black is both positive “In the black.” and negative-’bad guy’
In early Western movies the good guy wore white while the bad guy wore black. But later on good guys wore black to lend an air of mystery to themselves.

5. WHITE purity, cleanliness, and innocence.
West -white the color for brides.
East- it's the color for mourning and funerals. White is often associated with hospitals, especially doctors, nurses, and dentists.
Some cultures viewed white as the color of royalty or of deities.
Angels are typically depicted as wearing white.

6. GRAY
cool, conservative color that seldom evokes strong emotion although it can be seen as a cloudy or moody color—fog.

7. RED Love and War a strong color Red is Cupid and the Devil.
In Eastern cultures it is Good Luck

8. BLUE
Calm and Cool
It can be strong and steadfast or light and friendly.
Stable and calming

9. GREEN Life and Renewal Green is life.
Abundant in nature, green signifies growth, renewal, health, and environment.
On the flip side, green is jealousy or envy, the green-eyed monster, and inexperience.

10. YELLOW Hope and Happiness
Yellow is sunshine. It is a warm color that, like red, has conflicting symbolism.
On the one hand it denotes happiness and joy but on the other hand yellow is the color of cowardice and deceit.

11. PURPLE
Purple is royalty. A mysterious color, purple is associated with both nobility and spirituality.
Mystical and spiritual qualities

12. BROWN Down-to-Earth Brown is a natural, down-to-earth color.
Brown represents wholesomeness and earthiness. While it might be considered a little on the dull side, it also represents steadfastness, simplicity, friendliness, dependability, and health.
UPS, United Parcel Service, has built their business around the dependability associated with brown.

13. PINK
Pink is a softer, less violent red. Pink is the sweet side of red. It's cotton candy and bubble gum and babies, especially little girls.

14. GOLD Gold is the color of riches and extravagance.
Because gold is a precious metal, the color gold is associated with wealth and prosperity.

15. ORANGE It denotes energy, warmth, and the sun.
But orange has a bit less intensity or aggression than red, calmed by the cheerfulness of yellow.

16. LAVENDER delicate and considered precious.
refinement along with grace, elegance, and something special.
