Clarity Empowerment Support Clarity: Clear, efficient approval process Clear who is responsible for what content Recognition that content owners, contributors and uploaders are often separate Empowerment: Ability to put content live in timely fashion Recognition of time and expertise required to create and upload content Recognised, empowered department website champions – know the CMS, best practice Support: Digital Communications support – best practice advice on content, section structure, etc IT support – prompt resolution of technical issues Technical and best practice training

Responsibility for allocated content is recognised and understood at identified levels Clarity Led by M&C, to foster best practice and keep identified people trained and motivated Community Remains collective but within a more defined and supported framework Content ownership Simplified through website design and streamlined via governance model Content publishing More robust and regular Training and support

Website Content Owner (HoD/HoP) Train, support and build community High-level signoff Website Content Champion (Manager) Support, review and advise Website Content Uploader (selected) Provide content and ideas NB in practice, likely to be overlap between lower three roles depending on department in question.
