Design A unique Design is present in all things, whether they are natural or man-made, and a good design always attracts the eye It is a plan or drawing produced to show the look and function or workings of a buildings, garments, or new digital products to show how they would work before actually building it Highly used in Product designing Beneficial for testing purposes

Repetition / Rythm Ties together individual elements.
It helps to create association and consistency. Repetition can create rhythm (a feeling of organized movement).

Balance / Symmetry Symmetry in design is similar to symmetry in real life It is pleasing to the eye It provides stability and structure to a design It’s the weight distributed in the design by the placement of elements

Proximity / Unity Proximity creates relationship between elements.
It provides a focal point. It means elements are visually connected in some way.

Proportion / Scale Scale is relative
How big is a box in relation to other boxes / the page / human body Large objects might be important Energizes the design by creating dynamism

Contrast Contrast is the juxtaposition of opposing elements
It allows us to emphasize or highlight key elements in design It allows the users to differentiate between elements

Hierarchy Signals of difference / separation
Useful in expressing ideas with typography, colour, and elements Changing the weight or colour can create a degree of separation and drama within a graphic
