2 The Conflict Colonists wanted to settle the lands between the Appalachian Mountains and Mississippi River, but Native Americans already had.

The uniting of Native American groups along the Mississippi to expel the British from their land. The Native Americans attacked the colonies to protect their land.

Tried to end the fighting between Native Americans and the colonists. In 1763, he made a proclamation, or public announcement.

Said that all lands west of the Appalachian Mountains belonged to the Native Americans. Any colonists settled there had to leave.
