Validity is the extent to which the self-report measures what it is supposed to (accuracy) E.g. a questionnaire to measure IQ does in fact measure intelligence and not your memory

What’s wrong with these questions How often do you gesticulate Do you agree that eating meat is totally barbaric and anyone who does so is cruel? When did you last bunk a lesson? Have you ever lied about your age to buy alcohol?

Decide on your questions… 2 measures/ 2 questions Attachment type to mobile phone (secure, insecure-avoidant or insecure-resistant) – see example in the book and change the statements to fit mobile phones! Measuring attachment to phone
Describe the behaviour of a person that has a secure attachment to their phone Describe the behaviour of a person who has an insecure-resistant attachment to their phone i.e. would never leave it alone…(clingy) e.g. sometimes they will always answer it, at other times they will let it ring etc Describe the behaviour of a person who has an insecure-avoidant attachment to their phone e.g. not bother if they lose it How feel if lost, how often use it, how they treat it,
