From: Story Goodness in Adolescents With Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and in Optimal Outcomes From ASD J Speech Lang Hear Res. 2016;59(3): doi: /2015_JSLHR-L Legend: Study 1 story goodness. Story goodness is a function of story grammar and story completeness. Lines dividing the figures into quadrants are set at 1 SD below the group mean for typical development. The upper right quadrant is where scores for the best stories fall, with high scores for both story grammar and completeness. The narrative performance of the group with high-functioning autism spectrum disorder appeared more variable than that of the group with typical development, especially on the completeness measure.
