Hernandez, Librarian Ms. Corina Lynn Alegria, and Ms. Liza Marie, Librarian Clerk Phone: CAMPUS DATE TITLE TYPE BRIEF Donna North High School Ongoing Maker Space Challenge Activity/Contest A monthly challenge will be posted in the Maker Space area. Students will use their creativity to complete tasks from the Anti-coloring Book. They will submit their entries and one winner will be selected per month. Prevention or Awareness Displays Display A book display will be set up for all the prevention or awareness weeks that the counselors promote. January 19, 2017 Popping Good Books Reading Promotion and Celebration of National Popcorn Day Students are encouraged to read and write book reviews. Any student that turns in a book review throughout the month will receive a free bag of popcorn on National Popcorn Day, Jan. 19. January National Hobby Month Promote reading through a display showing staff members working on their favorite hobby along with books about different hobbies. Guessing Jar Game Just for fun: Have a winter guessing game in which students guess how many items are in the jar. Winner keeps the candy. January 31 Inspire your Heart with Art Event Art students will display their work. Students will view the artwork and fill out a comments card. A prize drawing will be held for those that turned in completed cards. National Braille Literacy Month Braille Book Display to show we have resources available.
