TURKEY FRYER SAFETY
Can only be used on base if listed by Underwriters Laboratories (UL) – excluding privatized housing
UL refuses to certify outdoor gas-fueled turkey fryers that cook the turkey in hot oil (large amount of hot oil)
Consider using “oil-less or electric turkey fryers
If using the outdoor type gas-fueled turkey fryer w/ oil
Use it OUTDOORS at least 10 ft. away from any structure
Follow all manufacturer instructions
Ensure the turkey is completely thawed
Keep children and pets away from the unit when in use
Have a fire extinguisher on hand
