Harassment: to create an unpleasant or hostile situation by uninvited and unwelcome verbal or physical conduct  UNWANTED  UNINVITED  UNWELCOME

3 Physical Sexual Harassment
Grabbing or touching someone, especially his/her body parts Tearing or pulling down a person's clothing pantsing or scooping Purposely bumping or rubbing against a person Kissing or holding a person against his/her will Impeding a person's movements or preventing a person for moving freely

4 Verbal Sexual Harassment
Comments about body parts or rating people's bodies Sexual suggestions or threats Spreading sexual rumors or stories Sexual comments/jokes asking someone who they like, asking someone out as a joke Using sexual orientation as an insult

5 Non-Verbal Sexual Harassment
Staring or pointing at a person's body or body parts Making obscene gestures Displaying obscene sexual material online/photo shop Writing people's names along with sexual remarks, suggestions or drawings in public places (locker, desk, book) Texting obscene words or inappropriate images to another person Other types of harassment: Racial intolerance, jokes, slurs, gossip

6 Gender Stereotypes Males prove their masculinity and don’t show emotions Girls are feminine and emotional ~ Times have changed! Dads stay at home, while moms work Why do we tease each other for old stereotypes?

7 Being Kind More teenagers and young adults die from suicide than from cancer, heart disease, AIDS, birth defects, stroke, pneumonia, influenza, and chronic lung disease, COMBINED.

8 Getting In Touch How are you feeling? Irritability, anger or hostility
Frequent crying Withdrawal from friends/family Loss of interest in activities Poor school performance Changes in eating and sleeping

12 Sexting Sending explicit images of yourself or of someone else is sexual harassment and against the law. Sending obscene sexual material or texts. In some states it is a felony and the sender and/or receiver can be labeled a sexual predator. It is possession, manufacturing and/or distribution of child pornography
