3. Bachelors Degree with a Montessori Concentration
121 credit bachelor of arts program
Part time or full time program (designed to complete in 4 years)
AMI training embedded in the program (46 credits)
Observation and practice teaching components
Successful completion will include a Bachelors of University Studies with a Montessori Concentration, AMI Diploma (Primary or Elementary), qualify for CT State Teaching Certificate 110

4. Bachelor’s including Montessori education
Early Childhood or Elementary, Montessori Concentration
43 credits: General Education Requirements (i.e. English, Computer Science, Mathematics, Psychology)
46 credits: Montessori Concentration = AMI Training (Primary or Elementary Diploma)
32 credits: Elective Courses (i.e. Child Development, Intro to Special Education, Reading, Music Appreciation)

5. AMI Training - MTCNE
46 credits in the BUS with Montessori Concentration
Primary (3-6 year olds) or Elementary (6-12 year olds)
Lecture, practice with materials, readings, papers, albums, 4 observation weeks, 4 -6 practice weeks, written exams, oral exams
Options:
Primary -1 year full time, 4 days a week, T-F, 9:00 am to 3:30 pm (September 2017), 3 summer format, M-F, 8:30am to 4:00 pm (June 2018)
Elementary 2 Year part time, T, Th, 4:30 pm to 8:30 pm and Sat. 9:00 am to 4:00 pm (September 2017), 3 summer format, M-F, 8:30am to 4:30 pm (June 2019)

6. Who should apply? High school graduates
Adults from post high school to mature working adults
Desire to be a Montessori Teacher in public or private sector
Committed to completing an undergraduate degree and do not currently already have a bachelor’s degree
Hard working, studious, passionate & committed individuals

Current full time tuition at University of Hartford is about $38,500
