Motion Picture Pro : 50% Reduction in Afterimages (Holding Time)
Conventional LCD TV New interpolation frames are created based on two adjacent frames and inserted between them. Frame Creation Frame Creation 60 Frames/s 120 frames/ sec Interpolation images created between frames based on motion vector detection technology CONVENTIONAL MOTION PICTURE PRO New interpolation frames are created based on current two adjacent frames and inserted between them. Therefore, frames are increased from 60 to 120 in a second. So, afterimages are reduced by this function. 120 frames/sec 60 frames/sec Approx. 8.3 msec (holding time) Approx. 17 msec (holding time) Motion Picture Pro : 50% Reduction in Afterimages (Holding Time)

VCTP HDMI (CEC) FPGA A ATSC DT AUDIO SWITCH LX700 LX70 Peaks Lite2 HQ1L(*) VIDEO LVDS TX(*) * 32LX700 only Peaks Lite There are 2 differences from LX600/60. The first is that Peaks Lite2 and Video switch are introduced instead of VCTP, FPGA and Peaks Lite. The second is that for LX700, HQ1L and LVDS TX are introduced for Motion Picture Pro. HQ1L and LVDS TX are used to increase the frames twice to reduce the afterimages. Differences from LX600/60: 1. Peaks Lite2 and VIDEO SW are introduced instead of VCTP, FPGA and Peaks Lite . 2. For LX700, HQ1L and LVDS TX are introduced.

Analog video signals from Tuner, AV1, AV2, Component and AV3 go into Video Switch. 2. Video Switch selects video signal. 3. And video signal goes to AD converter and analog signal becomes digital signal. 4. The digital signal goes into Peaks Lite2. 1. Digital video signals from Tuner go into Peaks Lite2. 2. Digital video signals from HDMI terminal also go into Peaks Lite2 through HDMI I/F. Peaks Lite2 carries out video processing of those signals and outputs LVDS signal to LCD panel. For LX700, to increase the frames twice, LVDS signal goes to LCD panel through “HQ1L” and “LVDS TX”. The signals are analog and digital. Analog signal flow: 1.Analog video signal from Tuner goes into video switch. 2.Video switch selects video signal. 3.Video signal goes into AD converter and switch of IC4510. 4.Video signal goes into Peaks Lite2. 5.Peaks Lites2 carries out video processing like scaling, IP conversion and picture correction, makes and mixes OSD, converts video signal into LVDS signal, and outputs LVDS signal to LCD panel. 6.For LX700, after Peaks Lite2, the signal goes through HQ1L and LVDS TX. 7.As another flow, video signal via video switch goes to Monitor OUT. Digital signal flow. 1.Digital video signal from Tuner goes into Front End. 2.Front End demodulates the signal. 3. The demodulated signal goes into Peaks Lite2. 4.Peaks Lite2 carries out video processing, makes and mixes OSD and outputs LVDS signal to LCD panel. 5. Digital signal flow is shown in blue line and analog flow is shown in black line. 1. Analog signal from Tuner, AV1, AV2 and AV3 goes into Audio Switch. 2. Audio Switch selects audio signal and outputs L/R signal to Audio DSP. 3. Audio DSP carries out audio processing of volume, equalizing and outputs PWM signal. 4. Next, audio signal goes to speakers through Audio Amp. On the other hand, digital signal from HDMI terminals goes into Audio DSP. And signal goes to speakers through Audio Amp. There are analog and digital signals. Analog signal. Tuner outputs analog signal to audio switch IC3101. The signal goes to Audio Amp IC2301 through Audio DSP IC2106 and finally to speaker. For LX700 series, there are two Audio Amp, IC2301 and IC2302 and four speakers. The signal after Audio DSP goes to Headphone terminal through Headphone Amp. On the other hand, the audio signal from Audio Switch also goes to Monitor out. Digital signal. Tuner outputs Digital signal to Front End, IC8302 to demodulate. And it goes into Peaks Lite2 and digital signal is processed of volume, equalizing and so on. The signal goes to Audio Amp through Audio DSP and finally to speakers. If Yes, this situation means LCD is OK. So, we judge A board is defective. But, if No, LCD or A board is defective. So, at first, we change A board.
