23M tourists in 2015 Local DMOs 542 Municipalities Tourism businesses 417,032 tourism accommodation beds 14,477 restaurants 1,268 travel agencies 219 active tourism businesses Professionals (& future ones) 20,000 students/year receive training through our CDT Network Tourism Centers.

6 Expectations from EU Recognition of tourism as a stand-alone EU policy: sufficient budget allocation Maximise the potential of EU financial policies and instruments dedicated to tourism: better integration and coordination with other EU policies Remain competitive: consolidate the image of Europe as a destination; increase support for integrated, sustainable and ethic tourism practices.
