3. *Simple Series Circuit – the electric current will follow only one pathway
If one light bulb falls out or burns out, the other light bulbs will also go out because the same current flows through both lightbulbs X

4. *Parallel Circuit – electrical current passes along more than one pathway
If one light bulb falls out or burns out, the rest of the light bulbs stay lit X

5. *A closed circuit has no gaps – so it allows the electric current to flow An open circuit contains gaps, so the current won’t flow and the bulb won’t light
