Comparison of the Microclimate Condition under Deciduous Broadleaf Forest Basin and Evergreen Coniferous Forest Basin in Central Japan Ali RAHMAT, Masateru SENGE, and Kengo ITO United Graduate School of Agriculture Science, Gifu University, 1-1 Yanagido, Gifu , Japan Introduction Materials and Methods The microclimate of the forest is one of the important factors affecting the environment, especially in the forest ecosystem. Forest canopy creates a specific understory microclimate that differs from the surrounding local climate. Air temp, Soil temp, stream temp influence by the forest canopy. After Second World War, In Japan many forest change from broadleaf forest to coniferous forest. For forest management planning in future information of effect change forest tree on microclimate is important, but the information is still limited.
