Select one thing from your notes that you wish to share with the class. It can be from any one of the “focus” questions or something else that noticed.

2. Lord of the Flies Chapter 11: Pg. 152-156
Ralph, Piggy, Sam-n-Eric are discussing what to do after Jack and his tribe stole Piggy’s classes.
Ralph suggests the boys wash up and brush their hair to look more civilized, then head over to Jack’s tribe and try to convince them that being rescued isn’t a game.
Piggy is so upset about his glasses being stolen that he grabs the conch and shouts, “‘I’m going to [Jack] with this conch in my hands. I’m going to hold it out. Look, I’m goin’ to say, you’re stronger than I am and you haven’t got asthma. You can see, I’m goin’ to say, and with both eyes. But I don’t ask for my glasses back, not as a favor. I don’t ask you to be a sport, I’ll say, not because you’re strong, but because what’s right’s right’” (154).
*We will start reading towards the middle of pg. 157 (“He stepped through the screen…). At this point, Ralph and Piggy have just arrived at Castle Rock.

3. Lord of the Flies Chapter 11: Turn & Talk
Each time you turn and talk, your discussion should be focused on the previously read section.

4. Lord of the Flies Chapter 11: Condolence Letter
Write a condolence letter to Piggy’s auntie from Ralph’s point of view. The letter should be at least one page.
