18 years or older Vulnerable-unable to protect oneself due to physical or mental impairment or advanced age Harm-threaten or actual harm from abuse, neglect or exploitation

Adult Protective Services
Meet People where they are at People have to AGREE to the Help Least Intrusive and Least Restrictive Short term Intervention Stabilize the Situation with Supports

Adult Protective Services
Types of Assistance Provided with APS funds of $1,000 per fiscal year per client Bedbug Extermination Housing expenses Utilities after all other program have been exhausted Dumpster rent for house clean up Personal Care Services Home or Car repairs

Community Partnerships
Make referrals to other community services such as: MDHHS benefit and Medicaid programs Meals on Wheels Commodity Food Distribution Weatherization Programs Subsidized Housing Loan Closets for Durable Medical Equipment

Collaboration Serving similar clients who are low income and need assistance Build relationship between APS and Community Action Agencies to serve clients Pool resources to provide services to clients
