1 WELCOME Today we are learning about Shakespeare
Take a minute to read the following quotes to see if you recognize them and know their meaning As dead as a door nail. (colloquial common in 16th Century England, King Henry VI) Double, double, toil and trouble, fire burn, and cauldron bubble. (Macbeth) In a pickle. (The Tempest) In the twinkling of an eye. (borrowed from the Bible, Merchant of Venice) Make your hair stand on end. (Hamlet)

2 HUMAN BINGO Directions:
Interview your classmates Find someone that fits the square Have them sign their name in that square You have nine minutes to win BINGO You win if you have a full column filled in with classmates’ names either horizontally, vertically, or diagonally

3 GROUP WORK Directions:
Get into groups of three Read the article as a group Each group will receive a packet Answer the questions Each packet has an informational article about Shakespeare and a question sheet Prepare a two minute presentation for the class to teach us about Shakespeare. Know the names of your group members You have 20 minutes for the group work Assign a moderator (Person to direct the conversation, spokesperson (Person who will present your information and recorder (Person to write down your ideas.
