6 SALIENT FEATURES OF THE SCHEME
The scheme will be implemented in those States which amend the APMC Act, wherever required, to allow direct marketing and contract farming and to permit setting up of markets in private and cooperative sectors.  Credit linked back-ended subsidy shall be provided on the capital cost of general or commodity specific infrastructure

7 OBJECTIVES To provide additional agricultural marketing infrastructure. To promote competitive alternative agricultural marketing infrastructure. To strengthen existing agricultural marketing infrastructure to enhance efficiency. To promote direct marketing so as to increase market efficiency.                                 To provide infrastructure facilities for grading, standardization and quality certification. To promote grading, standardization and quality certification system. To promote direct integration of processing units with producers.

12 INVESTMENT SUBSIDY 25 % of the Capital Cost upto Rs. 50 lakh on each Project providing direct delivery service to the farmer. All post–harvest activities are eligible for subsidy under the Scheme. In case of N.E States, hilly and tribal areas and SC/ST entrepreneurs the rate of subsidy shall be % of the captal cost upto Rs. 60 lakh. No upper limit on subsidy in respect of infrastructure projects of State Agencies.

15 TERM LOAN Subsidy is Back–ended & Credit Linked
Minimum 50 % of Project Cost Repayment Period 11 Years including grace period of 2 Years The first installment due after 24 months from the date of first disbrusement. Rate of interest as per PLR of the Bank as per RBI Guidelines.

16 Time Limit for Completion
18 Months from the date of disbursement of first instalment. A grace period of 6 Months may be allowed with genuine justification In case of large Integrated Agricultural Marketing Projects involving an outlay of Rs. 2 crore and above a time limit of 36 months may be allowed for completion of Projects. Subsidy is not eligible if the Project is completed with the stipulated period.

17 PROCEDURE FOR SANCTIONING OF PROJECT & RELEASE OF SUBSIDY
Promoter will submit the Project Proposal with necessary documents to Banks with a copy of Proposal to DMI After appraisal of the project Banks will submit the claim form along with Bank’s Sanction Letter in triplicate to NABARD with a copy to DMI. Advance Subsidy will be released through NABARD based on the claim. Final subsidy will be released after inspection.
