Benefit for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society Next week Student Council is sponsoring a collection to benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. March 31st is the last day for donations. A letter will be coming home explaining how we will collect for LLS. Your child can bring in change or cash. We will have a class collection box for all the change, which will be collected by student council daily. The top class receives a lunch from Olive Garden. This cause is very special to me. My older sister, Krista, was diagnosed with stage 3 Non-Hodgekins’ Lymphoma in She went through a long battle with treatments, losing her hair, and sickness due to the treatments she received. I am so thankful that she has been in remission 9 years. If you read this newsletter, please have your child bring in a summary of your conversation about being a risk-taker to share in class and earn a prize by Monday. Letterland: Unit Twenty-Four Students will learn about how Mr. I and Mr. O say their names, but they do not follow familiar patterns of Magic e, Vowel Men Out Walking, or Vowel Men on the End.
