5 What Is Academic Integrity? UW Stout is an institutional member of the CAI. The Center for Academic Integrity defines academic integrity as a commitment, even in the face of adversity, to five fundamental values:  honesty  trust  fairness  respect  responsibility

7 Promoting A Positive Culture On your syllabi and in class: This course uses a web-based service Turnitin.com with D2L dropboxes to reveal plagiarism and academic misconduct. All files uploaded to the course D2L dropboxes will be submitted to Turnitin. To preserve their privacy, all students have the right to remove their names from papers before uploading to a drop box. In addition to using TII, the professors will also use other standard verification measures if necessary to uphold standards of academic integrity, eg, online searches, meeting with the student and verbal verification of the ideas in the file.
