Entry 2 –Entry 3 You will be assessed on: planning your writing drafting your writing organising your writing including relevant information writing logically and clearly using some compound sentences using correct grammar using punctuation correctly spelling correctly.

Level 1 You will be assessed on:
writing clearly and coherently, including an appropriate level of detail presenting information in a logical sequence using language, format and structure suitable for purpose and audience using correct grammar, including correct and consistent use of tense ensuring written work includes generally accurate punctuation and spelling and that meaning is clear.

HOW TO PLAN YOUR WRITING?
Plan in your head Choose the method that suits you or the situation Consider the GAP WHY you are writing it? WHO will be reading it? HOW you will plan it? PURPOSE affects: Content (ideas/ information included) Format (layout) Style (language, formal informal)

Write a list of ideas or points / bullet points Draw a picture (Spider diagram / mind map) Write ideas on sticky notes Flow chart / vertical charts Writing frames

A draft is a rough plan of your writing
Drafting Creating a draft copy of your writing is the next step after planning. A draft is a rough plan of your writing Why? Content – have you included everything? Flow – does it flow when you read it? Layout – is it in the correct order/place? Next Proofread your writing. This is the time to check your spelling, punctuation etc.
