2 Roles Roman Leadership (3) Roman Provinces (9) Barbarians

3 Setup Each Roman leader has 40 troop cards of 500 soldiers each
Each barbarian tribe has 3 troop cards of 500 each The goal is for the Roman leaders to protect the provinces, thus protecting Rome The goal for the barbarian tribes is to conquer the provinces, and eventually Rome Once 5 provinces have been conquered, the Barbarians can attack Rome

4 Round 1 Roman leadership will determine how to allocate their resources in order to properly defend their nine provinces. They must also keep some soldiers in the capital to fight off possible attacks. The barbarians do not participate but instead watch the troop movements of the Romans and plot to determine where their attacks will take place.

5 Round 2 The barbarians will begin their attacks on the Roman provinces. Below is a description of the battle sequence Whichever group has the most troops (Barbarians or Provinces), the side with the most will role 2 die. They will role and the person who roles the highest number wins. The loser will discard one troop card. If there is a tie in the dice role, the barbarian wins. Once all troops have been defeated in a province, the barbarians will own that province and acquire 500 more troops.

6 Round 3 Roman leadership will determine again how to allocate their resources, however, due to public health issues, each leader loses 500 troops and 500 troops in each province are lost.

7 Round 4 The barbarians will begin their attacks on the Roman provinces. 9 Round 6 The barbarians will begin their attacks on the Roman provinces. Below is a description of the battle sequence Whichever group has the most troops (Barbarians or Provinces), the side with the most will role 2 die. They will role and the person who roles the highest number wins. The loser will discard one troop card. If there is a tie in the dice role, the barbarian wins. Once all troops have been defeated in a province, the barbarians will own that province and acquire 500 more troops.

10 Round 7 Roman leadership will determine again how to allocate their resources, however, due to public health issues, political corruption, and economic disaster, each province loses 1500 troops.

11 Round 8+ The cycle will repeat until a winner has been decided
Each round, Roman provinces will lose 1500 troops
