Communicate with your product ?
Design Manufacturing BOL Where and when is my car produced? What are the specifications of the engine? Which parts can be repaired or substituted? How to improve the car by adding new functions? etc BOL BOL BBB BOL Use Maintenance MOL What has happened with my car before I bought it? Which parts have been repaired and when? When do I have to change/repair my brakes? How to reduce service/maintenance cost of my car? etc nnnnn hhhhhhhhhhh Reuse Recycling EOL What is the residual value of my car? Is this component worth remanufacturing? How to handle different parts when recycling. Which components contain hazardous materials? etc sssssssssaa

PROMISE delivers a new generation of PLM system that
uses smart embedded IT systems allows the seamless flow and transformation of data and information to knowledge which allow all actors in a product’s lifecycle to manage and control product information at any moment of its lifecycle at any place in the world

PROMISE partners (Europe)
For more details What we are doing is - Development of Decision Support Systems - Development of EOL demonstrators - Standardisation activities - Training Linking to Boeing / AirBus industrial activities. - ID/Application matching - Sensor Integration 1) the locomotive - Bombardier is one of the partners, who will be developing a demostrator for MOL (Middle-of-Life) management (preventive/predictive maintenance, diagnosis, etc.) 2) the car engine - this is the Fiat demonstrator, which is looking at EOL decisions 3) cateripillar - similar to the Fiat demonstrator, looks at EOL decisions, by including critical lifecycle parameters such as engine temperature, part replacement data, etc in the decision-making process. CRF (Fiat) project, where we are involved in the development of the demonstrator by: - setting up a test rig for tagging engine components (in our lab) - developing a decision support tool that uses lifecycle usage information (number of starts, temperature, etc.) of engine components to optimise product recovery decisions made at the end-of-life of the engine.
